NYC B&B (Feature Comedy) – Director Geoff Shelton

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

It’s been a little over two years since my last narrative project, Peeled Grapes. The last two years, I’ve worked mostly on music videos and commercials projects. I am excited to jump on a narrative film again and collaborate with director Geoff Shelton to produce the comedy feature “NYC B&B” he co-wrote with fellow filmmaker Michael Delevante.

Our first day of production was June 30, 2010, starting off on locations in Carroll Gardens and Bay Ridge Brooklyn. We had a great first day. Here are some stills from day 2, 3 and 4 in our Harlem location.

SYNOPSIS
Paul has decided to turn the spare bedroom in his New York City apartment into a low cost bed & breakfast. He’s handicapped by a loose grip on reality and intensely awkward social disposition, but armed with an entrepreneur’s spirit, sincere passion for customer satisfaction and his consultant, Simon. He welcomes his first guest, Serena, a French singer and actress who can deal with a weird man if it means a cheap room while she’s in town looking for work. As the two struggle personally, their frustration manifests itself in their dreams, and their often ridiculous, but always sincere interactions with each other become a source of comfort.
