I was in New Orleans over the weekend with Radical Media‘s director Michael John Warren, shooting an MTV documentary for Drake — up-and-coming rapper you will be hearing a whole lot soon! If ya didn’t know, Michael was also the director behind the documentary “Jay Z: Fade to Black“. A genuis!

Working with Michael and the Radical team was awesome and fun. For sure, I will never forgot our last night there…haha! Thanks to Sonia Malfa, an awesome filmmaker, for bringing me in with the team!

It is great to be back in California! Director Julissa Carmona and myself (the ladies of Carmona Pictures are in the west coast pitching our feature horror “The Forbidden Chair“.

Our trip have been great so far….we had met some great fellow filmmakers at NALIP and our pitch had gotten great feedback.

I am inspired: Amazing work/visual/concept, an ethereal and beautiful video by director Barney Clark

Love love this animated short film about a young boy in India chasing after his dream. Great art and animation work. Kudos to the animators/filmmakers!

This video came out two weeks ago and it has been catching a lot of buzz about Jay-Z and his alleged subliminal satanic messages. Conspiracy theory or good publicity stunt? Whatever it is, the video is super dopa dope!

Just came back from seeing the Tim Burton exhibit @ MoMA in Manhattan. The exhibit chronicles the work of the filmmaker and all-around creative, and celebrates the impact his films and art direction – including Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands – have had on art and popular culture.

FYI: The exhibit runs til April 26th, 2010 — don’t miss it; check it out with a friend, colleague, lover, family, or stranger!

HAITI today is living through a nightmare in the aftermath of the worst earthquake the island republic has experienced in 200 years. It is believed tens of thousands are dead. Millions are homeless and international aid is desperately needed before even more thousands of Haitians die from injuries and illnesses.

A decade has passed since the world has experienced a Sade video and this month, “Soldier of Love,” the first single off Sade’s forthcoming album, made its worldwide video debut!

Video was shot in Portugal and directed by the super talented Sophie Muller, one of my favorite directors.

When Amerie released her first album “All I Have” in 2002, I was one of her many fans who waited in line at the J&R Music store to purchase her album and have the chance to meet her. I am sure I still have that photo I took with her back then. I am going to post it up when I find it (promise!). Seven years later, working on set of her new video “More Than Love“, I can report that Amerie is still as talented, beautiful and sweet as she was in 2002.
