NYC B&B (Feature Comedy) – Director Geoff Shelton

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

It’s been a little over two years since my last narrative project, Peeled Grapes. The last two years, I’ve worked mostly on music videos and commercials projects. I am excited to jump on a narrative film again and collaborate with director Geoff Shelton to produce the comedy feature “NYC B&B” he co-wrote with fellow filmmaker Michael Delevante.

Our first day of production was June 30, 2010, starting off on locations in Carroll Gardens and Bay Ridge Brooklyn. We had a great first day. Here are some stills from day 2, 3 and 4 in our Harlem location.

SYNOPSIS
Paul has decided to turn the spare bedroom in his New York City apartment into a low cost bed & breakfast. He’s handicapped by a loose grip on reality and intensely awkward social disposition, but armed with an entrepreneur’s spirit, sincere passion for customer satisfaction and his consultant, Simon. He welcomes his first guest, Serena, a French singer and actress who can deal with a weird man if it means a cheap room while she’s in town looking for work. As the two struggle personally, their frustration manifests itself in their dreams, and their often ridiculous, but always sincere interactions with each other become a source of comfort.

Peeled Grapes

Sunday, March 4th, 2007

In collaboration with Ryne Production, I am going to be directing a comedy short titled, Peeled Grapes, written by Ryan Watt.

Peeled Grapes is a few hours in the life of Sam, whose birthday happens to fall on Halloween. Every year Sam’s Mom plans a Halloween-themed party for him and his friends. Her over the top celebrations are everyone’s favorite, except for one important person-Sam. This year Sam wants a regular party. His Mom, however has very different ideas. Joined by a hyperactive, chocolate-craving little sister, a Dad too soft spoken for his own good, and a room full of party guests, Sam’s birthday is about to become quite an experience for everyone involved.

The production of Peeled Grapes is scheduled for March 31st and April 1st in Bronx, New York City.

The Forbidden Chair

Monday, April 3rd, 2006

Synopsis

Where do the things we purchase actually come from? Whose hands created it? Who did it belong to before it enters your life?

For FAITH (Michelle Glick), life seems like one big disappointment. After a few years of marriage, her chances for having a child were hopeless. One day she wanders into a Thrift Shop and comes upon an 18th Century chair.

After bringing the chair home, mysterious and unexplainable things begin to occur. Her once loving husband, DUKE (J.J. Huckin), evolves into a dark and hateful man. With the help of a gifted co-worker, ANASTASIA, they discover that the cause of tragic mishaps are manipulated by a CHAIR. Faith finds herself trapped, scared, and surprisingly pregnant!

Production will take place in Yonkers and Manhattan in mid-April.
